Candice's story

Candice is a create-a-holic and is passionate about creating items that are considered, thoughtful and practical. The bonnet designs featured were first drafted and sewn in her home studio when she found her baby girl munching away on her hearing aid. She expresses her love for beautiful handmade items and her vintage style in each individual product she makes.

Most of her creations are designed exclusively for her two children to fill their days with love and laughter.  She loves hearing her son say "Let's build it!"

An engineer by day and an artist by heart, she enjoys bringing her sketches to life. "It's the engineering in my bones, and the creative energy in my body that makes me want to make things All the time.  I can't help it really.  I sketch up an end product and love the process of figuring out how to get there, then I begin making. baking. sewing. knitting. painting. sanding. cutting. crocheting. illustrating. upcycling furniture. pattern drafting... that's the magic!" she says. 

Candice finds joy in giving a gift that gives by donating a portion of proceeds to charities close to her heart including The National Breast Cancer Foundation and Mater Little Miracles.

A firm believer of 'Waste not, Want not', she aims to live everyday sustainably by supporting local makers and organic growers, recycling and buying earth-friendly fair trade goods.
